Shortly before midnight on Sunday, two previously unknown men broke into an apartment in Salzburg and beaten a 38-year-old from Salzburg. The victim suffered a broken nose and bruises.
The perpetrators rang the doorbell of an apartment building in the Elisabeth-Vorstadt district of Salzburg. When the resident’s girlfriend opened the door, the two pushed her aside and suddenly began to punch her partner with their fists. After the victim fell to the ground, the unknown hit him several times with a so-called blackjack in the upper body and head.
Search failed
When the victim’s girlfriend alerted the police, the two strangers fled. An immediately started search yielded nothing. The victim was taken to Salzburg University Hospital with a broken nose and several bruises. The investigation is ongoing.
