The 22-year-old thief was literally caught in the act. In a dressing room of a clothing store, an employee accidentally found cut-out labels, anti-theft devices and also a shoulder bag with identification documents. The employees then alerted the police. A short time later, the 22-year-old returned to the store, presumably to retrieve his stolen goods. He was questioned about the alleged shoplifting and eventually admitted to employees.
Short chase with police
Shortly before emergency services arrived, the suspect fled. A brief chase ensued as the police officers jumped on the young man’s heels. During his escape, the 22-year-old fell and was eventually apprehended near the fire/farmers market. During a house search, the alleged crime tool, a pair of pliers, was seized. The man was transferred to a prison after questioning.
