They want to take the war to Russia – to Moscow. Last week there was a spectacular infantry attack towards the Russian border town of Belgorod, this week there was a combat drone attack on the Russian capital – all in all rather embarrassing for Putin.
The drones are said to have been fired at the capital from outside Moscow. The message to the Russians: Putin cannot protect you! The (provisional) propagandistic pinpricks are continued.
Group Wagner for or against Putin?
The head of the Wagner group, Yevgeny Prigozhin, whose side is not yet known, responded to the drones with one of his infamous tantrums. Accompanied by bad language against “those up there”, Prigozhin fumes: Russia is decades behind, bureaucrats and the Defense Ministry – he means Defense Minister Shoigu, Putin’s confidant – have done nothing for the country and the common people.
