Prostate cancer is the most common cancer in men. In Austria, approximately one in six people will be diagnosed with this diagnosis during their lifetime. Why prevention is so important and which symptoms require medical attention – including a self-test to determine your risk.

More than 5,000 men in this country develop prostate cancer every year. This is fatal for every 1,200 people – that is, every seven hours, an Austrian dies from this malignant type of tumor. Despite its serious consequences, prostate disease is still a big taboo among the “stronger sexes”. There are now treatment methods that give hope and many deaths from this type of cancer could be avoided.
