In Innsbruck’s Sill Gorge, emergency services are looking for a 40-year-old man who may have been lost there at night. The missing person himself called 112, but lost contact with him. The man must be injured.
In the Sill Gorge south of Innsbruck, an apparently missing 40-year-old was searched for on Saturday morning. According to media reports, locals called the emergency call around 4 a.m. and reported to Tyrol’s control center, but were later unreachable. The 40-year-old had stated that he was on his way to a party in the Sill Gorge and injured himself.
According to the emergency room, it was a minor injury. The mobile phone of the wanted person could be found at a greater distance, but the man was not found during the night. The search was called off around 5 a.m. The party that the wanted person spoke about by phone would also not have existed.
The search resumed the following morning
The emergency services went out again around 10.30 am because the 40-year-old had not yet appeared at that time and could not be reached by mobile phone. The Innsbruck mountain rescue service and the fire brigade were also involved in the search. A drone also flew over the affected area.
