Accident drama Tuesday evening in Altenberg near Linz. A 17-year-old, who had only had his driver’s license a few hours earlier, caused a fatal traffic accident. His 16-year-old passenger and the 36-year-old opponent of the accident died on the spot.
The terrible accident happened on Monday at 10:10 p.m. in Altenberg near Linz. The 17-year-old driver’s license holder was on his way from Altenberg to Gallneukirchen with two 16-year-old friends. According to initial police investigations, the boy may have ended up on the right shoulder of the road and slipped. He then collided head-on with oncoming traffic.
Two dead, two seriously injured
An approaching 36-year-old from Hellmonsödt had no alternative. Both vehicles ended up in the adjacent fields. All help came too late for the 16-year-old passenger from Altenberg and the 36-year-old driver, who both died of their serious injuries at the scene of the accident.
The person who caused the accident and the 16-year-old in the back seat came to the UKH in Linz with serious injuries. Blood was taken from the 17-year-old, but an alcohol test was not possible due to the serious injuries. The crisis intervention team immediately took care of the shocked relatives.
