While experts argue whether we are in a health crisis, the Vienna have a very clear opinion. Many already suffer from serious health problems.
As an insurance company, you need to be extremely knowledgeable about the physical condition of potential customers. So after 2020, Allianz again asked the Austrians about their health self-diagnosis. The results should also make politicians think.
Crises leave their mark
In the last study in the autumn of 2020, there were already significant effects on the health perception of Austrians. While it was still 72 percent in 2020, only 59 percent of those surveyed in Vienna were largely spared major health problems. The many crises have left their mark on Viennese society. 80 percent feel affected by mental stress, even 88 percent among the 14 to 29-year-old generation.
The risk of burnout is increasing
Lack of energy, lack of drive and fatigue are particularly often mentioned. The research identifies stress as a key factor in declining health and enjoyment of life. 41 percent of Viennese therefore consider it possible that they could be affected by a burnout, 20 percent even consider it likely – both record values in Austria.
Another concern: the regular consumption of fresh fruit and vegetables is falling victim to inflation. However: the Viennese drink the least alcohol and sleep the most.
