The management of the Basque Health Service announces the provisional planning for the summer of outpatient clinics and PACs. The Euskadi Medical Union (SME) has decided not to attend because there is no negotiation but an “imposition”. The rest of the unions are asking for their demands to be met.
Osakidetza has called the unions for another meeting of the sectoral table (09.30) to announce the preliminary schedule for the summer of the year. Primary care centers and the Continuous Points of Attention (PAC)as well as an offer to negotiate new prices for self-contracting in PAC and emergency situations.
Labor unions SATSE, ELA, LAB, CC. oo. and UGTwho have not participated in the table since October, have announced that they will attend the meeting, although they have demanded that Osakidetza comply with their demands, since the Ministry of Health, according to what they have denounced, the staff ” keep ignoring” and citizens and use this forum to “show a negotiation that doesn’t exist”.
For its part, the Euskadi Medical Union (EMS) has decided not to attend because “there is no formality” and there is no negotiation but an “imposition”.
The Basque health service has reported through a statement that “like all summers and holiday seasons”, the days are adjusted of primary care centers and PACs.
The changes, as indicated, are in line with the objective of these services “adjust” to changes in demand taking place on those dates and “facilitate rest” for professionals of health centers.
Osakidetza has indicated that, “as usual, there are centers, the vast majority, in which opening hours are maintainedwhile in others “staff is reinforced”. In turn, there are cases where opening times are shortened or centers “they close punctually or throughout the summer period”.
