Twelve huskies tortured
“It is a terrible shame and really disgusting what happened here,” explains the judge in the regional court of St. Pölten, explaining the “quite heavy sentences”. A 56-year-old, his partner and her son are responsible for the torture of twelve huskies – in their licensed dog kennel.
Some dogs weighed as little as nine kilograms
The vet reacted shocked in court: “There was massive malnutrition. Three animals were on the edge and already showed neurological problems. They could no longer walk independently.” Some dogs weighed as little as nine kilograms…
The cultivation was already strictly controlled. But now it’s jail time. The three are serving 12 months, four of which are in prison. The huskies still have them though – just no breeding license…
