At 09:15 they gather in front of the Basque Parliament to demand improvement of the regulatory agreement and their working conditions from the Ministry of Security. In addition, the Ertzaintza Negotiation Table will meet this Friday in which Erkoreka will present a proposal with 37 improvements.
The trade unions that are part of the trade union action unit Erzaintza (ErNE, ESAN, Euspel and SiPE), the trade union center EKOS and the Ertzainas and lucha movement will mobilize together from 09:30 in front of the Basque Parliament, in order to improve the regulatory agreement and claim their terms of employment.
The protest comes on the eve of the meeting of the Negotiating table of the Ertzaintza to be held from 09:30 at Erandio’s headquarters.
Yesterday, Wednesday, the Basque government sent the trade unions a new proposal including 37 measures of “concrete improvements” in the working conditions of the Ertzaintza at a cost of approx €18 million.
Among the proposals of the Ministry of Security, the increase of 10% in the allowance for night shifts, weekends or holidays and the increase of 20% in the number of overtime hours on days off.
However, Ertzaintza’s trade unions have rejected the Basque government’s proposal as they see no new developments. The spokesman for the trade union action unit Ertzaintza denounced yesterday that the Basque government’s proposal “is not new” and “had already been presented before, not only at the last” negotiating tables, “but has been coming since last year 2019” and “has expired “.
In any case, the representatives of the union unit will be present at the meeting of the Ertzaintza negotiating table scheduled for Friday, which will discuss, among other things, the following points of the day: the negotiations on the labor conditions regulatory agreement, in which the The Security Department puts your document on the table; and the proposal to adjust the Job List (RPT), among other things.
