Police officers could hardly trust their laser device during a routine check on the B3 in Langenstein (Upper Austria): an as yet unknown BMW driver overtook a motorcade of about 15 vehicles – with 237 km/h on the speedometer.
At 237 km/h, a car racer overtook a column of 15 vehicles on Donau-Straße (B3) in Langenstein (Perg district) on Monday evening. The police were unable to apprehend the driver due to his speed and a search initially yielded no results.
The officers were able to note the license plate number. So one hopes to explore the wheel. The vehicle is a BMW.
62-year-old wants to keep racing
During the same check, the officers also caught a speeding offender. A 62-year-old from Langenstein was stopped after measuring 158 km/h. The unreasonable gentleman then told the officers he wanted to keep racing.
