In the morning, 53 emergency services rescued a person from the Glainfeldbach in the middle of Bischofshofen (Salzburg). It is not yet clear why the woman fell down despite the railing.
The emergency call came in at 06:22: a woman fell into the Gainfeldbach in the center of Bischofshofen. The stream flows under a bridge near the town hall, protected by a wall to the left and right of it. It’s six feet deep.
The Red Cross, fire brigade, police and water rescue were deployed with a total of 53 emergency services. The water rescuers abseil into the creek to save the woman. A paramedic first gained access to the injured and made sure they were not swept away by the rushing water.
Because it rained on Saturday night, the stream is currently carrying more water. With the help of the fire brigade’s rotating ladder and a stretcher from the ambulance staff, the injured person was freed. She immediately received medical attention and was then taken to hospital. It is not yet known why the woman fell into the Glainfeldbach.
