It’s Saturday morning when Chris Lohner picks up his cell phone. Between rehearsals with Erwin Steinhauer – with whom she reads the correspondence between Marlene Dietrich and Friedrich Torberg during the cultural summer in Semmering – and a performance at the Nestroy Games in Schwechat, there was no time for a personal meeting. And so, during our telephone interview, she lies on the couch without make-up with a view of the beautiful bamboo garden, “a pareo from Jamaica around her body”, and looks back on her busy life in 33 minutes.
