Safe looted – perpetrator duo threatened employees with pistols

In Traiskirchen in the district of Baden (Lower Austria), a robbery was committed in a bar on Saturday evening. A 47-year-old employee was threatened with a handgun by two perpetrators and had to hand over money from the safe. The men are on the run, information is being requested.

At around 2:20 a.m. on Saturday, the employee was about to close the restaurant when he was suddenly stopped by two masked men and pushed back inside. The duo – camouflaged in sunglasses and an FFP2 mask or MNS mask – threatened the man with a gun. “Open up! Quick! I know everything!” the masked men shouted, demanding that the clerk open the safe and hand over their money. After the robbery, they locked the victim in an adjoining room.

The shocked employee was able to call for help and was eventually freed by officers from the Traiskirchen police station. He escaped with minor injuries.

The police ask for information
The two perpetrators are currently on the run. The National Criminal Investigation Department is investigating and requesting information (tel.: 059133 30-3333). The perpetrators were described as being 1.75 to 1.85 meters tall and of average build. One of the men wore, among other things, black and white checkered trousers, a black hooded jacket and black sneakers with white soles. He covered his face with a black FFP2 mask and sunglasses. He also wore disposable blue gloves and carried a black pistol. The second offender was wearing a black and white striped sweater, black sweatpants with white inserts and black adidas sneakers with white soles, sources said. He covered his face with a light MNS mask and dark sunglasses and a gray peaked cap. He also wore blue disposable gloves.
