The founder of the infamous Russian private military company Wagner, Yevgeny Prigozhin, has released a new audio message. In it he briefly describes his “March of Justice” and new plans for the front.
“Now more than ever we need your support. Thank you for that,” said the Wagner boss, who was labeled a “traitor” today. The Telegram channel “Grey Zone”, which is said to be close to the mercenary group, published his voice message.
He was sure that everyone would see “their next victories at the front” in the near future. Who exactly is meant by “her” he left undecided.
mobilize society
The “march of justice,” he continued, was aimed at “fighting traitors and mobilizing society.” “And I think we’ve accomplished a lot of that,” he said with conviction. “Thank you, dear ones,” Prigozhin concluded.
Nothing is known about his future plans or whereabouts.
The future of the group is uncertain
After a few tirades, the dispute between Prigozhin and the Kremlin escalated a week ago on Saturday. The mercenaries occupied the Russian army headquarters in Rostov-on-Don in southwestern Russia for several hours and then moved towards Moscow. However, the revolt ended that same night with the agreement that Prigozhin went into exile in Belarus. Those involved have escaped with impunity and their future seems uncertain.
