The devastating accident happened just before 10 p.m. The 83-year-old was about to cross Gumppstraße in Innsbruck-Pradl when he was hit by the car of a 43-year-old resident. The man was thrown onto the street and suffered serious injuries, police said.
But that’s not all: the pensioner lay motionless and had to be brought back to life. “After resuscitation, he was taken by ambulance to the Innsbruck clinic,” the researchers continued.
Drunk to death, no driver’s license
According to the police, an alcohol test on the alleged driver of the accident showed that he was heavily intoxicated. Moreover, during the accident registration it turned out that the 43-year-old did not even have a driver’s license. He now faces a hefty sentence. Appropriate advertisements will follow.
