Devastating accident Thursday afternoon in the Tyrolean Sellraintal: A German (60) came off a forest path with a quad and crashed into a stream bed. The man lost consciousness for a short time – after the first aid, he was flown by ambulance helicopter to the Innsbruck clinic.
According to the police, the 60-year-old was driving a quad bike on a forest road in the afternoon Potsdamer Hütte through the valley in the direction of Sellrain when, for unknown reasons, he suddenly veered off the path to the right and crashed into the Fotscherbach.
The German suffered serious injuries and even lost consciousness for a short time. “After regaining consciousness, the injured person was able to climb back up to the forest path on his own,” the researchers say.

An attendant (29) had made the emergency call. After first aid, the man was eventually flown by rescue helicopter to the clinic in Innsbruck.
