Spectacular traffic accident Sunday morning in East Tyrol: a 25-year-old resident lost control of the wheel and crashed into an electronic traffic sign with full force. The driver had to be flown to the LKH Klagenfurt by ambulance helicopter.
The serious accident happened shortly after 06:30 in the village Lewis Gris. The 25-year-old Austrian was driving on the B100 Drautalstraße towards Sillian when, for unknown reasons, she drove her car over the edge of the road.
Vehicle overturned, driver injured
The car then collided with full force against a digital traffic sign. “As a result, the vehicle spun and eventually came to a stop on the road,” police said.
The driver suffered serious injuries in the accident. After first aid on site, the 25-year-old is with the Emergency helicopter flown to the state hospital in Klagenfurt.
