As reported, a so-called autogyro (two-seater) landed in Lake Constance near Bregenz on Sunday. The pilot of the aircraft now makes it clear: it was not a crash, but an emergency landing.
The excitement was great when the very special plane that had taken off from Germany suddenly landed in the water off the coast of Bregenz on Sunday afternoon. So far it has been assumed to be a crash. However, that was not the case, according to the pilot, a 25-year-old German, now. In reality, he would have driven the machine, dumped it. Incidentally, the man – just like his passenger – survived the emergency landing on the water unharmed.
Scheduled flight to Ulm
Previously there had been a loss of power from the driving machine. The two men actually wanted to fly from Friedrichshafen to Ulm – nothing came of it. When the autogyro hit the surface of the water, the pilot and passenger jumped off, the plane sank in the floodwaters and was later recovered by the water rescue service.
