A kitten attracted attention with a loud meow on Wednesday morning. The young animal crawled into the engine compartment of a car and was unable to get out. The fire brigade of Wolfsberg (Carinthia) committed itself with six men to the use of animals.
When passers-by heard the screaming of the baby cat on Wednesday morning, they immediately called the fire brigade. The small animal was trapped in the engine compartment of a parked car. “Unfortunately, we were not able to get to the vehicle at first without damaging it,” said the fire service.
But then the owner of the vehicle could be found and he finally opened the car. Since the baby cat was in the lower part of the engine compartment, even the carpeting had to be removed. But the kitten didn’t want to leave the engine compartment at first. “After a few attempts to lure the kitten to the opening, the animal was finally gently persuaded to go to the exit itself and was released from the vehicle,” the Floriani disciples said.
The police took the young cat to the Wolfsberg animal shelter.
