Shock moment for the occupants of a car: On Wednesday evening, a vehicle in Riegersburg (district of Southeastern Styria) suddenly caught fire while driving. No one was injured.
Around 7:50 pm, an 18-year-old drove his car on the B 66 from Feldbach towards Riegersburg. A 17-year-old friend of the driver was in the vehicle at the time. While driving, the driver noticed a loss of power.
At the same time, the two occupants saw smoke developing near the engine compartment. The 18-year-old immediately stopped the vehicle in a parking lot and the two young men from the Southeastern Styrian district got out of the vehicle, which was already on fire.
The volunteer fire brigade Bergl-Kornberg and Schützing came into action. The vehicle was a total loss. No one was injured.
