While handing out the current “crown”, Mr. W. came across a man lying on the ground in the municipality of St. Kanzian am Klopeiner See. The 41-year-old fell with the e-scooter.
“Everything was full of blood, the man had serious abrasions on his face and all over his body,” says Mr. W. of the “Krone”. He was delivering the newspapers when he found the 41-year-old who had been in an accident around 3:30 am. He immediately alerted the rescue team and tended to the injured until the ambulance arrived: “You wouldn’t believe how long 17 minutes can be!” The man responded, but he felt worse and worse.
Cushions made from old newspapers
The man fell with an e-scooter. A breathalyzer test was positive, police said. “He was shaking, he was only wearing shorts!” said Mr. W. And at only 7 degrees, the injured man is probably lucky to have been found. “I folded old newspapers into a pillow for him,” he continues. The rescue eventually took him to the Klagenfurt clinic.
