The dangerous situation arose on a construction site in Aubergstraße in Linz at the corner of Parzhofstraße, because a facade of a house was in danger of collapsing. The police, fire brigade and ambulance were quickly on the scene. Aubergstraße was closed between house walls 6 to 34 and part of Parzhofstraße and a diversion had been set up.
Five people evacuated
In addition, five residents of the immediately adjacent neighboring homes were evacuated. After the immediate measures were taken, the building authorities of the Magistrate of Linz were informed. This ordered: Work on the construction site is temporarily halted. Until they can resume, the site will remain closed by the responsible construction company.
