Since Saturday evening, a serious incident has caused horror for the well-known Viennese in-disco “Volksgarten”. Crying and with a bloodied face, a woman’s night of partying would come to an end. How is that possible? When attempting to enter the club, the visitor was allegedly forcibly thrown onto the pavement by a security guard. A witness describes the incident – the Viennese police also spoke on Monday.
It was around midnight when the victim reportedly tried to enter the club past the queue. At least one witness reports this to the ‘Krone’, which shortly later gave the woman first aid, among other things. However, the visitor is not allowed to enter the club that evening…
The blood ran all over his face
“A security guard threw her on the sidewalk with full force,” says the journalism student from Vienna. The apparently heavily intoxicated woman finally hit the back of her head on the ground. “The bang was extremely loud!” The victim immediately burst into tears, blood running all over her face. “Friends of mine called the paramedics and tried to stop the bleeding, but she was bleeding profusely and everyone who helped had blood on their hands,” she said. When the friends asked the security personnel for handkerchiefs and towels, the responsible security personnel reportedly answered them only with a smile. The incident then led to a huge row among visitors to the entertainment venue.
Incident described differently by employees
Rescue and police would have arrived at the scene of the accident 15 minutes later. When asked what had happened, the employees told a very different story to the officers, according to an eyewitness: “He accompanied her outside and she then fell because she was so drunk. The woman was indeed very drunk, but as a security guard at a club you have to be able to deal with situations like this and not seriously injure someone and then laugh about it.”
Ad was shot on the spot
Finally, the Viennese police also reported and confirmed such an incident for Voga on Monday: “A suspicion of bodily injury has been reported at the scene.” The woman was taken to hospital with only minor injuries, officials said. A statement from the club operator is still pending.
