“High Demand” – New Funding Round for Photovoltaic Systems Started

Until September 6 this year it is possible for the third time to apply for a subsidy for photovoltaic installations and electricity storage. A total of 120,000 solar power plants were supported this year.

Despite the backlog in the 1st call, all applications for classic roof systems from private individuals have so far been approved. “Demand for solar power plants remains high,” Energy Minister Leonore Gewessler (Greens) said in a broadcast.

Last funding round in October
A total of approximately EUR 600 million in financing is available for 2023. The fourth and final funding round of the year will take place from 9 to 23 October. Applications for all previous categories can be submitted here.

According to the Ministry of Climate Protection, EUR 70 million in funding will be made available this time, of which EUR 60 million from the EAG and EUR 10 million from the Climate and Energy Fund. Applications can be made in categories A and B: Category A are systems with a maximum of ten kilowatts and a subsidy of 285 euros per kW or Category B of ten to 20 kilowatts and a subsidy of 250 euros per kW.
