4,800 euros – that’s how high is the reward for information about the perpetrator who killed a beaver with an arrow shot in Lower Austria at the end of July. Individuals added the amount together. However, so far there is no concrete starting point.
The injured and later dead beaver was discovered in the Kierlingbach on the morning of July 28. Two arrows, believed to have been fired from a crossbow the day before, were lodged in the animal’s body. The beaver was taken to Parndorf Animal Shelter. When the arrows were removed, a vet found further injuries that police say are “very likely also due to arrow fire”.
First a private person had offered 1000 euros, then another 500 euros. In mid-August, the amount was increased to 4,500 euros, now it is 4,800. Information is always there, according to the driver.
