An otter child in Oberwart owes his life to community workers. The animal had probably fallen into the canal. His beeping drew attention to him.
As a result, community workers investigated the noise and found a completely dirty otter child.
The community workers took the little one to the little animal sanctuary in Oberwart, where Thomas Neudecker cared for the little dwarf. “He was all dirty and we carefully washed him once,” says the vet.
The baby otter was completely exhausted and slept for a while after the bath. “Then there was puppy milk so that the little one could regain some strength,” continues Neudecker.
After first aid and a lot of petting, the young animal was taken to the game reserve in Haringsee by the nature conservation agency Güssinger. By the way, the little one will not be alone there, because there is already an orphaned baby otter there.
