When people talk about palliative care, most people think of the dying ward. Palliative care is aimed at people with a progressive, incurable disease. Affected people at the Brothers of Mercy Hospital in Eisenstadt, for example, learn that palliative care aims to improve, stabilize and maintain quality of life, but also to relieve symptoms and increase quality of life.
