Two killed in Russia’s largest missile and drone attack on Kiev since spring

Date:

Two security guards were killed in the largest Russian attack in Ukraine since spring. The men were hit by remnants of the projectiles that Russia launched and destroyed Ukraine. The remains of the missiles and drones have also caused damage in the city.

In the Shevchenko district (Kyiv), two security guards died this morning. The 26 and 46-year-old men were hit by fragments of Russian shells shot down by Ukrainian anti-aircraft guns, as reported by the Military Administration of the capital. The remnants of the grenades also wreaked havoc in the city and even started a fire in the Darnetsia district.

It is the largest Russian attack on Kiev since last spring, and at least three people have been injured by falling shrapnel in different parts of the city. “The enemy has launched a massive combined attack using drones and missiles,” said Kiev military government chief Sergey Popko. According to the source, the Ukrainian air force intercepted more than twenty enemy projectiles in the skies of the capital.

Popko has said Russia attacked Ukraine in two stages last night. They sent out a wave of Iranian-designed kamikaze drones and then fired missiles from strategic warplanes.
