To Hallstatt – House of Music: China copies Viennese jewel

Date:

The famous House of Music will also be seen next year in the city of Yanguan in the Far East: after Hallstatt, another prestigious success for the copying world champions!

The Chinese are known for their wild copies: cars, electronics, watches, all of these look deceptively real, “made in China”. But that’s not the end of the Asians’ enthusiasm for cloning – after the embarrassing replica of the Upper Austrian mountain village of Hallstatt in Guangdong province, they now want to move the Vienna House of Music to the Far East.

A copy already exists in Mexico
This is made possible by an official licensing agreement between a Chinese event group and the local authorities. After a successful pilot project in Puebla, Mexico, the absolute breakthrough on the Asian market is now expected: “Music as a universal language helps to build bridges between people. We are therefore very happy that we can realize the House of Music in China in collaboration with Wu Promotion,” says general manager Simon Posch. Numerous critics, on the other hand, see a sell-out of the red-white-red culture.

Great joy in politics despite the ‘Hallstatt woes’
Major supporters of the deal are at least Mayor Michael Ludwig and Wien Holding as owner. But in times of an exuberant flow of tourists, some citizens lack the necessary understanding for this procedure. After all, the number of overnight stays has recovered in Asia even without new flagships.

There are now fears for a second Hallstatt, where the specimen from the Far East has generated even more interest and visitors. Often at the expense of the local population…
