11 creditors affected – Video maker Hessenthaler in Ibiza is insolvent

Date:

Julian Hessenthaler, whose Ibiza video with Heinz-Christian Strache and Johann Gudenus (both former FPÖ) shocked the republic, is bankrupt.

According to credit protection associations, a debt settlement procedure has been published regarding Julian Hessenthaler’s assets. According to the Alpine Creditors Association (AKV), he stated that some procedures involved significant costs that he could no longer cover due to his time in prison.

According to KSV1870, Hessenthaler takes on a total amount of approximately 207,000 euros in his application. From his point of view, according to the KSV, eleven creditors are affected by the bankruptcy.

“Talking stupid is not a crime”
Hessenthaler, who was initially released in March with an ankle monitor and was released early on April 7, only admitted in April that he was “disappointed” when he first saw the Ibiza video, recorded in 2017. Because the compromising and criminal statements made several times over the course of the hour-long evening were not on the video. “Talking stupid is not a crime,” his lawyer is said to have assessed the material. “In the end, we didn’t do it the way we planned.”

Strache’s Ibiza decoy exposed
By the way: as a “shy Russian” (according to the then FPÖ leader Strache), she made headlines around the world as the bait as the niece of the oligarch in the Ibiza video. It was previously unknown who had taken over this role: now 40-year-old Una from Latvia has been revealed as the Ibiza detective’s accomplice (see link above).
