A heavily drunk driver (48) caused a rear-end collision on the A2 towards Graz on Saturday evening, causing the car in front of him to roll over. The passenger in the car was injured, but nothing happened to the drunk driver who caused the accident. A puppy was also rescued from one of the crashed cars.
On Saturday around 8:20 p.m., a 48-year-old man from Graz was driving on the A2 towards the capital and collided with a car in front of him near Sinabelkirchen. The force of the impact caused the car, driven by a 28-year-old woman, to overturn and land on its roof.
Injuries of an undetermined nature
According to police, the woman was able to free herself from the car and was then taken to hospital by emergency services with undetermined injuries. An alcohol test on the driver involved in the accident showed that he was seriously drunk.
A puppy in one of the cars on board broke down. He was rescued by the fire brigade and is said to have survived the accident unharmed.
