The fire brigade recovered the car; the car hit the railing, but the occupants were able to escape

A 31-year-old from Roßleithen caused an accident in Spital am Pyhrn on Saturday evening. The driver and his 36-year-old passenger from St. Pankraz – both were unharmed in the accident – reportedly left the scene of the accident, according to a witness. But they were investigated and reported.

The 31-year-old from Roßleithen was driving his car on the B 138 from Spital am Pyhrn towards Windischgarsten on Saturday evening, with a 36-year-old from St. Pankraz in the passenger seat. In a right bend, the duo left the road and collided with a bridge railing.

The duo fled after the accident
The accident vehicle remained on the railing or right side of the vehicle and the two occupants were able to free themselves unharmed. According to a witness, they then simply walked away from the accident scene. The road was closed for some time while firefighters recovered the vehicle. The hit-and-run drivers have now been traced and reported.
