For reasons that are still unclear, a car crashed into a lamppost in Vienna-Meidling on Sunday morning. Two of the three women in the car were seriously injured. The third woman escaped with minor injuries.
The three women, aged between 19 and 22, were walking along Breitenfurter Strasse at 5.30am. Suddenly the car left the road and crashed into a lamp post.
Freed himself from the vehicle
The occupants were able to leave the damaged vehicle themselves and were then attended to by various rescue teams at the scene of the accident. The two seriously injured people were then taken to hospitals. There was no danger to life.
The cause of the accident is being investigated by the police.
