An accident occurred at a riding school in the Klagenfurt-Land district on Thursday evening. A small child (2) wanted to brush a Haflinger, the horse was frightened and was kicked out.
The 22-year-old mother was with her two-year-old daughter at a riding school in the Klagenfurt-Land district around 5:30 p.m. There were several horses and their riders in the grooming and tying area.
During the cleaning work, the toddler also wanted to brush a tied Haflinger. But the horse startled and kicked the right side of the little girl’s torso, causing her to fall over and hit her head on the ground.
After initial care was provided by the first responder who was immediately alerted and the C11 rescue helicopter team, the child had to be flown to the Klagenfurt clinic for further clarification with injuries of an undetermined nature.
