On Saturday evening, the police came across a German who was wanted throughout Europe. The man attacked a resident of Berchtesgaden with pepper spray in the early morning hours in the city of Salzburg. However, he was caught when he tried to escape.
The arrest started with an attack: a 24-year-old from Berchtesgaden stated that he was slightly injured by a person using pepper spray and was able to indicate in which direction the perpetrator fled. This was also found in the nearby area.
When his personal details were requested, it turned out that the 34-year-old German from Baden-Württemberg had a European arrest warrant. He was arrested on the spot and transferred to Salzburg prison.
