Major operation for the Florianis: On Saturday evening, a single-family home in Lieboch, Styria (Graz area) caught fire. A neighbor noticed the flames and called 911, also alerting residents of the burning building. No one was injured.
Around 8:10 p.m., a single-family home in Schadendorf caught fire for reasons that are still unclear. An attentive neighbor noticed the fire at the rear of the house and alerted the emergency services and the two residents (50 and 38 years old). They had not yet noticed the fire, they were able to leave the house unharmed.
The workshop also burned down
When the emergency services arrived, the house was already completely on fire and the rear part of the house and an adjacent workshop had already burned down.
A total of 77 emergency services from ten surrounding fire brigades were present. Shortly before 11:30 p.m., the operations manager reported that the fire was out. Members of the Lieboch fire brigade remained on duty throughout the night for additional security work.
The extent of the material damage caused has not yet been determined. Packerstrasse, which borders the fire scene, was closed to traffic until midnight.
