On the Spanish island of Mallorca in the Mediterranean Sea, a family stormed a school and beat an underage student. Several newspapers reported that it was an “act of revenge”, because the victim had previously had an argument with the son or brother of the attackers.
The newspapers “Diario de Mallorca” and “Última Hora”, citing the authorities of the Mediterranean island, wrote that the five adult suspected perpetrators were arrested on Friday, which the Mallorcan authorities confirmed upon request.
According to media reports, the unusual attack took place on Wednesday at a school in Can Pastilla on Playa de Palma, not far from the “Ballermann”. The family stormed into the school in the middle of school activities. The attackers encountered the boy they were looking for in the hallway and beat him up.
Victim with injuries in hospital
Some teachers locked themselves in classrooms, others tried to intervene, it was said. The victim, believed to be between twelve and fourteen years old, was attacked with punches and kicks and taken to hospital with various injuries.
Surveillance cameras filmed
The attackers fled after the attack. However, they were soon identified and located by police. Those arrested would be charged with causing public disorder. Three of them are also charged with bodily harm. The attack was filmed by the school’s surveillance cameras and published by some Mallorcan media.
