No damage is expected from an earthquake with a magnitude of 2.1 on the Richter scale, according to a press release from the Austrian earthquake service Geosphere Austria.
On Saturday afternoon the earth shook slightly in the Wiener Neustadt area. The tremors with a magnitude of 2.1 were “weak to clearly noticeable” near the epicenter, the Austrian earthquake agency Geosphere Austria (formerly ZAMG) said in a broadcast. The residents especially noticed the rumbling of the underground. Damage to buildings is not known and is not expected at this level, the report said.
