Spectacular traffic accident on Monday evening in the Tyrolean lowlands: a 35-year-old resident drove his car off the road, after which it overturned and came to a rest lying on its roof in the adjacent field. According to police, the driver was heavily intoxicated.
According to the police, the accident took place shortly after 9:30 PM in the municipality of Brixlegg (Kufstein district). The 35-year-old Tyrolean was driving on the L47 Kramsacher Straße when his car suddenly went over the edge of the road.
“The car then rolled over and landed on its roof in the adjacent field, a few meters below the road, with serious damage,” investigators said.
Driver’s license taken away
An alcohol test on the driver showed that he was ‘heavy intoxicated’. The 35-year-old’s driver’s license was confiscated on the spot. He was then taken by ambulance to the Kufstein district hospital for medical examination.
