A 60-year-old man was drugged with knockout drops and then robbed when he met a woman at his apartment in Vienna’s Donaustadt on Sunday. The victim was taken to hospital and a search for the suspect is underway.
Originally it was planned to be a fun evening: around 10 p.m. the man (60) met the woman in his apartment. Although the 60-year-old said he had not been drinking alcohol, he suddenly felt unwell, dizzy and light-headed.
Safe, laptop and mobile phone stolen
When he woke up the next morning, he found that the currently unknown suspect was no longer there and that his unsecured safe as well as his laptop and cell phone had been stolen.
After the officers were alerted, the victim was taken to a hospital by the Vienna Professional Rescue Service. Further medical examinations were then carried out there. The Vienna State Criminal Investigation Department, North Division, will take over the investigation.
