It would not be the first time that her boyfriend became violent: on Tuesday around 5:30 p.m., a young woman (19) was allegedly beaten by the 19-year-old at her home address in Vienna-Penzing and then threatened with a knife. The emergency services were alerted – the young man received a report.
The suspect first struck the woman’s upper body, back of the head and abdomen several times, after which he pulled out the knife. According to the Vienna police, the man allegedly held the gun to the victim’s neck. After officers were alerted, the 19-year-old was arrested near the home address.
Similar incidents in the past
He was temporarily arrested on suspicion of dangerous threats and bodily harm. It soon became clear that similar incidents of physical violence had occurred between the couple in the past, police described in a press release.

“After consultation with the Vienna public prosecutor’s office, he was released on suspicion of continued violence, among other things. The murder weapon has been seized,” police said. The 19-year-old is no longer allowed to approach the woman and a weapons ban has been imposed on him.
