Chaos on the Wiener Linien: On Saturday afternoon there were several Palestine demonstrations in the city center. There are currently delays, especially on the trams around the Ringstrasse.
Several demonstrations keep the police in the center of Vienna on their toes. Around 3 p.m. the demonstrators met on the Ringstrasse in Vienna, where public transport had to slam on the brakes. Passengers should expect delays.
Another meeting in Mariahilf
A solidarity demonstration for Israel will also take place at Christian-Broda-Platz in Vienna-Mariahilf.
Delays in public transport
Due to the demo there are different intervals on lines D, 1, 71, 3A. Line 5 towards Westbahnhof only goes to Josefstädter Straße. Line 37 towards Schottentor only goes to Nußdorfer Straße. Line 38 towards Schottentor only goes to Spitalgasse and is then diverted to Zimmermannplatz.
Lines 40, 41 and 42 go in the direction of Schottentor, only to Währinger Straße, Volksoper. Line 49 goes in the direction of Ring, Volkstheater, only to Urban-Loritz-Platz.
Wiener Linien expects the disruptions to last until around 8 p.m.
