According to the OGH, a twelve-year-old boy in the Waidhofen an der Thaya district (Lower Austria) was carelessly and above all helplessly held captive for hours in a dog kennel measuring approximately 50 x 80 centimeters. . And that of his own mother.
“She says she loves her child”
Her client had a distorted view of reality, says lawyer Astrid Wagner in the interview with krone.tv: “Even the psychiatric expert says that she did not want to kill her child. She says she loves her child.” Yet the mother also admits that she was always overwhelmed by parenting and that it helped her a lot until her own mother died.
The actual onset of the torture methods apparently lasted months. “If you exceed the inhibition threshold, at some point it becomes normal, no matter how abnormal it is,” Wagner explains. The 32-year-old simply could not perceive the suffering, the lawyer said: “She lived in a completely different world.”
