A 19-year-old Upper Austrian made a series of unfortunate decisions on the national holiday. First, the holder of the probationary license got behind the wheel of a car, even though he had been drinking alcohol. Then he stopped and just drove home.
The 19-year-old probationary driving license holder from St. Thomas am Blasestein drove his car on Klingenbergstrasse in his home municipality towards the city center on Thursday around 9:45 p.m. In a bend to the right he left the road and collided head-on with a bus shelter. This was completely destroyed by the accident.
Bursch drove home
The 19-year-old then continued his journey in the badly damaged car and drove home.
While the police were still conducting the initial investigation, the mother of the accident driver came to the scene of the accident and stated that her son caused the accident. An alcohol test on the 19-year-old showed a blood alcohol level of 1.06, after which his driver’s license was temporarily confiscated.
