War in the Middle East – Possible crimes: ICC warns Israel

The Israeli army says it has attacked targets in Syria in response to rocket attacks. Israel is also said to have attacked the north of the Gaza Strip again. The Chief Prosecutor at the International Criminal Court, Karim Khan, has now warned Israel and the Islamist Hamas against violations of international law and said: The ICC is investigating possible crimes on both sides.

  • The Israeli military says it has fired on targets in Syria in response to rocket attacks. The target was the missile launch site.

  • Israel has accused the radical Palestinian organization Hamas of “psycho games” in connection with the hostages it kidnapped. “Hamas is cynically exploiting those we hold dear,” Defense Minister Joav Gallant told relatives of the kidnapped on Sunday.
