Take things as they come, don’t let yourself go and don’t forget your sense of humor: that’s what Mrs. T relies on. The cheerful, charming Viennese (78) is seriously ill and is being cared for by the palliative care team at CS Hospice Rennweg, among others. In an interview with Krone+ she talks about her life, about waiting for what the next research will reveal and what she would like for her grandchildren.
“You know,” says Mrs. T., “I’m so wired that I don’t ask why it’s me and not someone else. I take the facts as they are and make the best of them.’ And you would like to believe that about the charming, cheerful, enterprising Viennese woman (78). Still, she says that when the cancer came back, the diagnosis hit her harder than the first time. “Well, I’m the same age too,” she reflects, “But I’d like to stay there for a while.”
