An alcoholic drunk left a trail of destruction in Tyrol’s Zillertal on Sunday evening. The 20-year-old local resident left the road with his SUV and hit a parked car and a garden fence, among other things. The young man and his passenger of the same age were injured.
The spectacular accident took place shortly after 2 a.m. in the municipality of Bruck am Ziller. The driver may have lost control of the vehicle and went over the right side of the road.
Also crashed into walls and cars
“The vehicle then struck a traffic mirror before crashing into concrete walls, a parked car and ultimately a garden fence,” investigators said.
Driver and passenger in hospital
The driver and 20-year-old passenger were injured in the accident. After initial treatment on site, they were taken by ambulance to the Schwaz district hospital. An alcohol test on the driver revealed “significant intoxication,” investigators continued.
The extent of the material damage caused cannot yet be quantified. But this will probably be huge. The insurance will of course be terminated. Follow associated ads.
