A 41-year-old woman was allegedly threatened with suicide by her brother (29) in the presence of her child on Thursday evening in Vienna-Brigittenau. The siblings had gotten into an argument earlier. The woman then immediately called the emergency number.
After the 29-year-old allegedly threatened to hit the sister and then threatened to kill her, the woman immediately picked up the phone and alerted the emergency services. According to the director, the woman’s 13-year-old son was also present.
Already beaten several times by brother
When the officers arrived on the scene, the brother was temporarily arrested on suspicion of serious coercion. When the 41-year-old was questioned by police after the incident, she said she had been beaten several times by her younger brother for almost a year. For this reason, a report has been filed on suspicion of continued violence.
The man is not allowed to approach the sister, the police said on Friday.
