Someone must have clearly looked too deep into the glass! In a restaurant in Innsbruck, a local man (30) apparently gathered courage on Saturday evening and then stole several hundred euros from a waiter’s wallet. He then threw a glass bottle at an employee. The police were able to arrest the man.
Around 11:30 p.m., the 30-year-old attacked without permission. “He stole an average three-figure sum of money from the wallet of a waiter at a restaurant,” police said. But that is not enough: As he left the restaurant, the man threw a glass bottle at the waitress. “The 27-year-old Austrian woman was not injured,” investigators said.
Interview not possible for the time being
As part of a crime scene investigation, the suspect was arrested in the capital around 12:45 p.m. The man was taken to the police station, where he was able to sleep off his drunkenness for the time being. “Due to his heavy drunkenness, the interview will only take place on Saturday morning,” the director emphasizes.
